A Blog on Starting Up
With 2016 coming to what seems like a speedy end, many of us are looking to the New Year with thoughts of what 2017 has in store for us.
Whether your New Year’s resolution is to start saving money, join a gym or travel more, the start to a New Year brings excitement and anticipation for all of us.
It may be that your 2017 goals are to find a new challenge. There will be some of us that may be thinking ‘2017 is the year I am going to start my own business’. If that’s you and you’re experienced in recruitment, we have some top tips to get you started:
• How do I Finance my business?
o Not many of us have thousands of pounds readily accessible to finance a new venture. Finding a partner that can provide up to 100% funding whilst understanding your business is extremely important to your success. There are cash flow and legislative demands for a recruitment agency that many banks and investors won’t understand. Outsauce are recruitment experts so not only can we help financially but we can offer advice and assistance where others may not.
• I’m a Recruiter not a Payroller/Credit Controller/Accountant!
o As you are setting up on your own, you’ll want to spend your time doing what you do best; building and making new relationships whether that be with potential clients or future candidates. This means you can’t let processing payroll and raising invoices swallow up your time. Maybe you have someone to bring on board that can help free of charge for a while? Alternatively, you can outsource these responsibilities to someone else. This is something that Outsauce can help with. We are not only a finance provider but we process payroll, manage returns, raise invoices and chase debt for multiple recruitment agencies.
• I don’t need managing!
o It is really important that you are happy with your work life now that you are your own boss and that you are able to run your business exactly how you want to. So when it comes to finding a business partner, finance company or any other partner for your new business, ensure that the agreement does exactly what is says on the tin. Look out for hidden charges or elements of the contract that may not be as expected.
Other areas to keep in mind are; Branding, systems, processes and location. Our website has several free guides that offer further assistance and advice. We also have links to our chosen partners who specialise in these areas.
Whatever 2017 brings you, Outsauce would like to wish you a very happy and successful year!
